It has been a busy few days here at Herbert HQ, with Steve acting as both a guest speaker and a presentation skills trainer in the first half of the week alone.
The first of those events was speaking at a small but perfectly formed workshop for charity Oakleaf’s Mental Health Leaders Network on Monday morning in Guildford.
Oakleaf’s Head of Fundraising and Deputy CEO Jennifer Clay kicked-off and concluded the meeting with relevant discussion topics for the network, and Steve spoke on the economic outlook, financial wellbeing, and the impact of poor finances on mental health, employee engagement, and employer productivity.
Feedback from the event has been excellent, with one delegate even stating that Steve was “articulate and erudite”. Sadly, this very generous epithet may be somewhat undermined by the reality that Steve later had to look up the meaning of “erudite”!
And on Wednesday Steve delivered a remote workshop on developing presentation skills to a mixed audience of employee job roles and business sectors in an event organised by the rather excellent The Surrey & Sussex HR Forum with the much valued assistance of Karen, Tanya, and Sharon of The Recruitment Consultancy.
Despite the challenges of presenting both remotely and to a diverse audience the session appears to have landed very well indeed. Feedback indicates that every delegate found the session useful, and some of the hugely positive delegate feedback is shown below:
